Domestic Helper

Can anyone recommend where I can hire an english speaking helper to do domestic chores?  Also what are the current prices as I am open to full time stay in or out or even part time.

These days it is far easier to get a mistress than a domestic helper, let alone one that can speak English.

These guys are just teasing you.

It's kind if like an initiation ceremony for a new poster, you will get used to it.

 

Domestic help is not at all easy to find nowadays, 10 years ago it was easy, now really difficult to get any kind of help, even if they are not very good, if you sack them you will find it difficult to get a replacement.

 

Try a card in the local shop windows or Rim Ping who have a noticeboard, a potential maid may not be reading those but somebody that knows of one may

PS Make sure they are legal to work as well as many of the maids nowadays are Burmese, if they don't have the correct documentation YOU will be responsible and fined a large amount if Immigration catch them working illegally...happens all the time, especially on the building sites

Thaipauly gave you the best advice so far.  You may also try asking friends who have maids or helpers if their employees know of anyone.  But finding one who speaks English will be very hard.  Although it was said jokingly by another poster about looking in massage and bars for a girl, there may be a chance that if you check out the massage places where most of the girls speak some English you may find an older one looking to get out of the business.  The older massage girls know their days are numbered as most of the customers like to pick the younger girls.  They may be open to a domestic job with a free place to stay.  At any rate, good luck.

When I am at that stage I plan on moving to Phillipines or finding a Phils helper.  Much better take care.

To add, you may want to try Craigslist or similar sites advertise what you need.
