rooster59
Police chief Chakthip confirms audio clip leak triggered Veerachai’s transfer The abrupt transfer of Pol Gen Veerachai Songmetta, the deputy national police chief, to an inactive post at the Prime Minister’s Office, was triggered by the leak on social media of an audio clip of a private conversation between Veerachai and the national police chief, Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda. Asked by reporters this afternoon whether Veerachai’s sudden transfer had something to do with the recording, Pol Gen Chakthip curtly answered “Yes!” The leaked audio featured a recent telephone conversation between Chakthip when, during an overseas trip, he called Veerachai, who was then the acting police chief, to talk about a case related to the shooting at the car of Pol Lt-Gen Surachate Hakparn, the former immigration police commissioner and a special advisor attached to the Prime Minister’s Office. Popular Post ThreeEyedRaven
Interesting. It seems Veerachai wanted to find out who was behind the shooting of Big Jokes car and has been transferred to an inactive post as his boss apparently didn't want anyone caught. You have to conclude there is a very dirty trough somewhere the police have been feeding from, which they want kept super quiet. 1 1

Elkski
Such open suspicious behavior. Car shootings and so easy to disappear in Thailand I can see why some people are quiet. How does that saying go keep-your-friends-close-and-your-enemies-closer Edited January 25, 2020 by Elkski
manarak
how could Big Joke refer the biometrics procurement case to the NACC ? did BJ believe that the NACC was clean? BTW, which police body in Thailand is able to independently investigate the chief of police? why did the PM lean in onto Big Joke? and especially, why publicly ? " the president of the NACC commission is Police General Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit " hmmm " National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) president Pol Gen Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit faces a tough test to prove he and the anti-graft agency will handle the case involving Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon, his former boss, without fear or favour. " hmmm hmmm "On June 15 Gen Prawit signed his name to the order appointing Pol Lt Gen Surachate to the police sub-committee, which is chaired by Pol Gen Weerachai. " hmmmm hmmm hmm "In December 2017 the National Anti-corruption Commission (NACC) opened an investigation into Prawit's asset disclosures.
