A Thai student in Wuhan appeals for help from Government

A Thai student, currently stuck in the Chinese city of Wuhan, has appealed to the Thai government to help evacuate her and her compatriots, claiming they are running out of food.

Ms. Pasnicha Krutdamrongchai, a student at Wuhan University, wrote in her Facebook post today that most Thai students in the city, the centre of coronavirus outbreak, were unable to stockpile food because they were given short notice of the city’s shutdown.

She said that most of them, including herself, are running out of food and they cannot go out because travel is not possible and the super market near the university has already run out of food.

Me thinks the students will have a long wait before your Government will get involved, and just turn a blind eye as they normally do....

The PM will helicopter in some Pad Thai and a Mango Sticky rice ... in your dreams!

Better to mask up, goggle up, wrap up and take a long walk to the nearest shop ... no other choice I'm afraid.

The term  'will not touch them with a 40 foot pole' was invented specifically for situations like these...

She’s more likely to get arrested for using Facebook than get sent food

The news said they have planes on standby to collect stranded nationals, same as other countries.

Probably helped in the Thai situation that theres a dozen Navy personel there or so.

no chance the town is in lock down no one leaves and no one coming in unless in a hazmat suit

Thailand needs to do everything it can to save him just like how the boys from the cave were saved all efforts need to be exhausted.

But be fair, they need to form a committee first and check the impact on tourist revnue and at least a week compulsory procrastination. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Interesting. In this thread everybody say the government is not doing and not going to do anything and really they should.  2 threads down it says there is a meeting about what can be done to evacuate about 100 Thai citizens from Wuhan as the Chinese government has closed the airport the but there might be an option for a military aircraft to land there. However all the comments by TVF members suggest leaving them there so they won't risk people in Thailand....

I thought Facebook was banned or at least very censored in China ...

A post containing a Twitter link has been removed as this is not a Twitter site.

A troll post has been removed.

Could ask the food producers to send them some Mama noodles while waiting.

They want to keep the Strykers at home in case of domestic problems.
Sorry, no can help.

Convert the "rain making" planes into "food dropping" ones (no fresh eggs of course!)

If then bring the Thais home they will have to be quarantined. I presume our Govt has enough sense to realise this?

Did they run out of tum yam? You could send them cans of tuna and beans and I bet they would starve before eating it.
