perhaps they should be courting the Indonesians...

"(Bloomberg) -- The Thai baht was Asia’s best-performing currency by a country mile last year. This year’s winner looks to have been already decided: the Indonesian rupiah.

The currency of Southeast Asia’s most populous nation has rallied for seven straight weeks as the bumper yields offered by the nation’s government bonds enticed carry traders and the central bank said it would allow further gains."

This is a direct insult to Tourism industry as a whole. Just shows how stupid and unprofessional attitude they have!

I saw the President of the World Tourism Authority speaking to Alajazeera....she said for any Tourism industry to return back to norm would be minimum 19 months+Chinese Tour Operators have cancelled all their Group Tours+ They have instructed all tour operators that penalities will be severe, Russian Tourists aren't happening as I hear, Indians only need to be scared from their respective Health Authorities ....Pucket and Chiang Mai 40%less occupancy than last year.... Don't know Pattaya TAT knows... ??????????

TAT seems to have quickly abandoned and insulted their highly prized Chinese tourist. They no longer matter.

More than that, I am surprised that no one has noted that besides the Chinese (not anymore), the Russians and the Indians, tourists from other nationalities do not count at all for TAT!

They are never mentioned, as if them coming to Thailand or not wouldn't matter in the least.

After all, what are (on average) poor Germans, English or Americans compared with wealthy Indians...
