It's a tough job, but as I recall, he "volunteered" and chose it.

  • No way will they admit he has corona virus, even if he has. He said it was 100% under control, now if he has caught it, it will make him look a bigger plonker than normal.

  • Should that be considered good news or bad?   Answers on a postcard please

  • And by the public .............. to give it a rest.

Takes a lot of effort to try and control an entire nation, whether they are willing or not

I’ve seen countless Thais with their nose sticking out of their masks.

Then how else can they pick their noses

Corona virus can't thrive in a BS environment obviously

The sheer amount of my Thai FB friends poking fun about this does not bode well for the actual election results being honest.

yes correct.  Even tough guys like him get sick from time to time. As it mentioned his days are very busy with engagements as required by any PM.

We all wish him a speedy recovery as does all the people of Thailand.

get well soon our honorable Prime minister.

Hi Steven I hope you're well?It has just occurred to me that it might be preferable the he has the Corona Virus and not the regular flu as the regular flu is killing way more people than the corona virus at this stage, but that might change of course. If the regular flu kills 400,000 each as I have read that would equate to approximately 33,000 per month and the corona virus at this stage falls a little short of that figure at the moment that we know of.(who really know though?)

Keep up your good work defending what I see as the indefensible.

I do admire your ability to be nice in the face of must at times seem like overwhelming vitriol, you have way more than me in that regard.

I kind of feel sorry for the guy. Nobody really likes him (except Steven100) and I guess the stress is getting to him.

Hope he soon recovers. Until then will miss his statements and should the virus go crazy, we have no one to order it to go away.

I think Steven100 was extracting the urine...

I thought he was immune to all diseases or, at least he didn't let us know if he's sick!
Good recovery!

Ailing Prayut begs off duties for a day

A day off? Just one day? Please reconsider, Your General-ness. The horrible, gruesome, dreadful, terrifying, and malignant sickness you have can never be treated in a day. Absolutely impossible. And considering your vital importance and historically irreplaceable  role as the savior of Thailand...you should take at least twenty years off. Just to be on the safe side.

What the odds that ;

a) He's is having a meltdown when confronted with a real developing 'crisis'

b) He's got the fear of getting the virus himself and so

c) He's not really ill just weak

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has cancelled all this appointments and activities today (Thursday) because of sickness. He has been advised by his doctor to rest at the official guest house in the compound of the First Infantry Regiment of the Royal Guards.

This just proves his ties with the military are still strong one has to wonder if he actually left them...........

It can take up to 6 days to test positive once you start showing symptoms.

100% under control.

Source please ??

Non symptomatic people have tested positive.. how would that be possible in your statement.

Even if he does you think they would actually tell us the truth!????

I thought he was such a tough guy, anyway a good leader delegates most of the tasks he has to do.

So plainly, he can not be considered a good leader.

He likes to have his finger on the button (or should I say trigger?) in almost all situations.

I tried to explain what a virus is to my wife and that they are actually not really alive, just microscopic biological robots which insert DNA and she wouldn't believe me.

Maybe it was the "insert" part that she didn't get. ????

Pity the poor soul who has to round up everyone he has shaken hands with in the last 3 weeks.

Hence they use wais in thailand.

Surely there are quaified medical personel who are well versed in infection control, who understand the science, and are better able to take control of this health matter, rather than former army person?

I was under the impression that good leaders delegate to best qualified person and receive updates and briefings.

Yes there are qualified medical personally for the coronavirus but not here in Thailand.

Probably Greed, Vice, or any other one of the 7 deadly sins...

Get well soon..(not)...
