I'm preparing to do my visa extension based on having a Thai child, I have most of everything I need, but wondered if the child must attend when I make the application? I'm using the Prachinburi office.  KR Colin

Your child will need to be with you.

I assume you are the legal parent of your child by way of marriage or legitimization of your parenthood.

Yes, were married and im on his birth certificate, even so I think I need to get a Kor 11 from the local amphur office.

The Kor Ror 11 is issued when you have had your parenthood legitimized. In your case a copy of your marriage certificate would be all that is needed and possibly your divorce decree.

Thanks Ubonjoe, by the way do I need two sets of documents? I'm in Prachinburi

Last year, I didn't need two copies of everything in Khon Kaen.

I would say yes since the majority of offices want them. Best to take them rather than have to make the copies and completing another TM7 form.

Get the paper from the Amphur that confirms you as the father. Your wife and child must sign (if your child is old enough over 7 years) If you have any problems in the future that paper is a life and money saver as the birth certificate means nothing in Thailand.
