  • A partisan, Democrat sham by deranged Democrats was defeated. It's a great day to be an American. President Trump should throw a big party.

  • I am also certain there is a day of reckoning coming. Hopefully he can get a house and senate majority and eliminate term limits. Congratulations Mister President.

  • If Jesus came back, DT would insult him.

It will be all the more sweeter when Bloomberg spends a billion dollars and Trump still wins.

No question we are due for a massive correction. The amount of helium that has been pumped into this economic balloon is unspeakable. Current valuations of real estate and stocks are not even remotely in sync with reality.

Depends which real estate markets you're talking about. The United States is not a monolithic market. States and areas attracting healthy migration and business, like Texas, have healthy, increasing real estate market prices.

Yep.

Those touting Mayor Mike need to consider the Electoral College.  I realize that the EC is like kryptonite to them, but that's how we elect presidents.  Those touting Mayor Mike need to ask themselves: What states will Mayor Mike take away from Trump that he won last time?  THAT is the crux of the entire Democrat conundrum.  What states will ANY Democrat take away from Trump from 2016?

And don't forget.  Mayor Mike is anti gun.  That stance alone eliminates LOTS of states from consideration.

Funny. You clearly don't want the democrats to win and now you're trying to talk down Mike Bloomberg. Sounds just like the leader of the cult of personality movement -- he's most afraid of Bloomberg. The way it's shaping up now with Biden fading and no clear large majority leader emerging or likely to emerge -- is a brokered convention. A brokered convention won't be nominating Bernie or Warren or Biden. The natural choice of a brokered convention will be Bloomberg, Klobuchar, or even Deval Patrick.

Be careful what you wish for. Why only one billion?

Why not talk down Bloomberg? He's a big government, totalitiarian thug. I think I'll keep my Big Gulp. And rest assured his security people will keep the guns they want to ban us peasants from having.

Great question! How many billions do you think it may cost Bloomberg to buy the presidency?

You can keep dreaming about Mike maybe unhinged but Trump will be around a while.

Bloomberg unhinged? I'm not picturing that.

Yes 45 may be around for awhile but where exactly? Prison? Mar Lago? In exile? Or possibly the white house, God forbid.

Not really. He just had a huge victory against his political foes. It is to be savored. And now with a great jobs report out, higher-than-expected wage growth and favorable polling information, there's plenty for all Americans to be happy about.

Now it gets uglier. Now that he's been confirmed to be totally above the law by the complicit senate, he's now totally unrestrained, and just imagine how much even worse it would get if he never has to run for election again. Nixon had his enemies list. 45's list is expanding to the majority of the country. These are very dark times now. Of course not surprising from someone that was mentored by one the greatest villains in American history -- Roy Cohn.

Why Trump is so vindictive

It has worked to stifle or sideline his critics. But it’s getting especially ugly now.

Secret Service has paid rates as high as $650 a night for rooms at Trump’s properties

President Trump’s company charges the Secret Service for the rooms agents use while protecting him at his luxury properties — billing U.S. taxpayers at rates as high as $650 per night, according to federal records and people who have seen receipts.

Those charges, compiled here for the first time, show that Trump has an unprecedented — and largely hidden — business relationship with his own government.

Specifically, how so? How is enjoying a victory over political adversaries in any way moronic? It sounds like a lot of fun to me and most rational people.

The accusation says "as high as...." What is the average rate? Under what circumstances did the $650 rate occur? For what type of room? How many rooms cost that much? Why? Are those rates out of the norm for a hotel of that caliber during that time of the year?

The point is, it's easy to have a hissy fit over a $650 room rate. Knowing the details is imperative to understanding whether it's out of line or not.

There's oversight on issues like what government pays for hotel rooms. You do know this, yes?

I dont think impeachment is a victory, but up to you.

I hate to break it to you but it was not an acquittal and there are a few more cases about emoluments against him. One of them will go to supreme court.

Fantastic.

I thought from the start that Bloomberg had at least a small chance of being nominated (if nominated, for him beating 45 will be a cakewalk). I also thought Bloomberg is seriously no dummy and he's been clear for a long time that he would never run for president if he didn't see a possible path as well.

But frankly it was hard to imagine that Bloomberg would have risen so fast in these still early stages.

Democrats want a candidate they can get behind, get excited about, who is super competent, and most of all can beat 45.

More or more, Bloomberg seems to be that candidate.

I realize Sanders has deep loyalty but he really, really does not have that full list.

The prices in New York, which historically have been a bellwether for the rest of the nation, and typically happen about two years prior to the rest of the nation following suit, have been dropping for over a year now. Properties which were selling for near asking prices, and selling within 15 days, are now being discounted by up to 30% or more, and taking an average of 450 days to sell. Same with higher end properties in Los Angeles. Likewise, the rental markets at the higher end, have been dropping in both areas. Just wait. The US is in for some massive financial reckoning. The economy is a house of cards.
