Let’s try again, maybe second time lucky. Only 1 called Chonburi

Unless you just want to be awkward you would state which of the offices in the Chonburi province your OP is referring to as each office is named Chonburi Land Transport in its entrance sign. - สำนักงานขนส่งจังหวัดชลบุรี .

Most people here would be thinking the Banglamung office but unlike you they probably don't wear the 'here long time badge' and chip on their shoulder.

Land Transport Office Chonburi - Chonburi City

Land Transport Office Chonburi - Siracha

Land Transport Office Chonburi - Banglamung

I think Nakhon Nowhere transport office best suits your OP.

Let’s try for the third time for the challenged ones, only one office is called Chonburi and there is no banglamung land transport office

Where does this thread go to? Useless bickering.

But why not add.

This is the site of the Chonburi (province) DLT:

http://chonburi.dlt.go.th/chon-area.htm

It shows four offices of which the second entry translates as:

Chonburi Provincial Transport Office Bang Lamung District Branch

Email address: banglamung (at) dlt.motc.go.th

It's exactly the office often referred as "Pattaya"/"Regent School" etc.

Makes sense as Banglamung district covers all of Pattaya city and more.

This is the only one called Chonburi , others called differently , but are located in Chonburi province.

where does the thread go? No idea, as I suspected no one has heard anything like we were told.

is it possible testing and prices to be different fir Thai and foreigners ? Yes, but finding it hard to believe it’s more expansive for Thai yet it was.

could staff be incompetent ? Yes but then people are made to pay and made to do all the tests

so either new changes are real but has not been reported or I have no idea what is going on.

worth to note office was jam packed both days , mainly Thai , total change to when I renewed mine about 3 months ago

Absolutely nothing I noticed.

This should have made big news?

12 months and practical driving test just for renewal?

This would finally make DLT offices break down.

Already overloaded now.

we are never informed of anything here, in Thailand ARE WE??

No. Without something official to back it up, it's just hearsay.

It’s just what happened and as I said if staff was giving out incorrect information it makes no sense why for 2 days that I was there, all were made to do as staff claimed . Surely all the rest of staff would not just follow or charge Thai more for DL than foreigners .

Maybe for Thai it was always more but finding that hard to believe as it’s usually other way around

Hmm..

In reality DLT Office Chonburi bears only that title.

The other locations have a prefix with that title, translated as 'shop amphoe Banglamung/Nongyai/Sriacha'

So it is

Land Transport Office Chonburi - Chonburi City

Land Transport Office Chonburi - Siracha

Land Transport Office Chonburi - Banglamung

You are right for the other locations, and he is right for the 'muang' location.

Both happy ????
