Yes , AI and robots will replace a lot of people ( who than become useless for the ones in control ) , but that is only a part of a possible

future ... What will happen before this becomes a reality , is what we have seen in Australia for example , huge fires that are out of control , droughts followed by inondations , huge storms like we've never seen before , viruses that will become more deadly and that are designed to eliminate most of the planet's human population ( by nature or by people ? ) ... All this will result in a shortage of food to feed the ever growing population , wars for resources , ( water ) will result out of that , many , many people will die ...

The ones who will survive all this , ( probably the rich and powerful who are prepared for this ) , might learn from this ' apocalypse ' or not ... and build a better future for the few survivors ( if there are any ) , AI could be a part of a future utopia if there is one , but before this , mankind will suffer .

Astronomers discover new planets all the time in far away solar systems ... We are not alone in universe ... yes , but we are alone in our solar system . We will never travel at speed faster than the speed of light ... the light that is emitted by the stars that we see at night , some times needs thousands of years to reach us ... so what we see is the past actually ... We will never travel to another planet outside our solar system , the distances are simply too big . For that same reason we will never see real aliens ( except in Thailand , of course ) , We are alone on our planet , we will not get a second chance on another planet , we are 'earthbound '. I am sure that there are countless other planets in other galaxies , that have also developed a ' dominant species ' . Some of these extra terrestrian species will be able to manage the biosphere of their planet in a better way  than us , and survive , and with that get the possibility to further evolve . And that is what it is all about ... Where this possible evolution might lead to , I do not know ( may be some species will be able to do ' terraforming ?
