The Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) is promoting agricultural waste processing instead of burning and has collaborated with companies in its network to purchase the waste at Bt1,000 per tonnes, said president Kalin Sarasin.

“This practice comes with added value and, at the same time, reduce PM2.5 pollution” he said. “This project is a collaboration between TCC and our partners such as SCG, Siam Kubota, and Mitrphol”.

TCC has advised people to compress wastes into blocks for transportation. Meanwhile, related companies have been purchasing the processed product at Bt1,000 per tonnes.

Other companies have also been invited to participate.

Where is that equipment as it's not currently required when field burning waste?

Another government soft loan or subsidy?
