Barr tells Trump to stop tweeting about Stone case; juror calls it 'appalling'

The same thing Trump supporters were saying about the Huber investigation and the Horowitz investigation. You know that a multitude of criminal indictments would ensue, including treason charges.

And I've heard reports the Jesus is coming back any day now. Which despite repeated failed predictions in the past, is a prophecy believers still cling to.

Barr has seen the writing on the wall.   I think I’ve spotted the basis of his cunning defense strategy:   ’I was only following tweets’.

  • Oh I donno but I think old billey Barr may just get disbarred lol i find it especially laughable he says trumps tweeting make it impossible to do his job lol and what job is that?cleaning up and prote

You obviously imagine there’s something to know.

Some off topic trolling posts and the replies have been removed. This topic is not about the impeachment of Donald Trump.

Oh pleeeaass.  The comments some have posted reveal sheer subjective lack of any knowledge of facts and true history.  A waste of time to even read so many.  After scanning just a few in a row I find that my hope to engage in objective conversations and exchanges is a fantasy for the most part.

The 'mob mentality' seems to be too prevalent on this otherwise excellent 'news' forum for Expats.

Oh, and before you begin to send a "blast" in my direction, please do the following first; for you will receive pearls of knowledge:  Search the Internet for "old interviews of Donald Trump"  These begin when he was 34 in 1980.  They are all previously televised and if you have the maturity to sit and just "listen" you will find that this career businessman and builder has held the same 'Nationalistic' values and passion his entire life.  He is apparently no political chameleon like too many others.

He has given up major business opportunities to devote 8 years to trying to save the nation and Republic he apparently loves; as do many of his own fellow citizens.

Most major 'career politicians' in the USA become "rich" while in office; and this President is already rich and gives his salary to charity.

Anyone who has studied the History of the USA will ascertain that his successes are truly exemplary and his pragmatic leadership style will help to prevent America from becoming yet another failed Socialistic country.

Correct date of initial first interview; in 1980, when the subject of the Presidency was raised.

Are you actually familiar with Trump's political stances?

For instance he was pro-abortion before he ran for office

He also said he thought that taxes on the wealthy were too low.

And of course, he hired lots and lots of undocumented aliens.

As for Trump giving his salary back...he's the first president in a very long while not to put his businesses in a blind trust. And what about the huge amount of money the government spends at his resorts. Or the fact that his properties earn lots of cash from Republican events held at his properties. And the foreign governments that book lots of rooms at his properties? And there's so much more. The conflicts of interest are huge.

Trump’s greatest trick has been to advance his socialist policies while decrying socialism and ripping the Dems for advocating pertinent economic policies. I am afraid you have been gullible not to see Trump’s hypocritically pursuing socialist policies. He has been increasingly replace the market with state control policies that leads to socialism.

His tax policies of directly choosing winners and losers like for example giving tax dollars to the farmers is a intervention in the market place. His tax cut for the rich is directing government tax payer money above the interests of the average working people. His protectionism policies like tariffs and interference with actions of companies like Harley intention to move oversea are act of socialism. Now his administration aiming to buy (nationalized) Ericsson and Nokia. Don’t by fooled by his lies and falsehood.

Wow !

Memo to Barr.

Bill Barr learns that Trump is a crafty badger

In the early days of the Trump administration, a time when weighty decisions had to be made about war and peace, the president maintained a singular focus — on badgers.

When he campaigned for the Reform Party nomination in 2000 he wanted Oprah Winfrey to be his running mate.  Colin Powell as Secretary of State. Charles Rangel as Secretary of HUD. And, wait for it, as Secretary of Defense, John McCain.

"According to materials made public Friday in a Freedom of Information Act case related to the investigation, a federal judge in D.C. warned prosecutors in the case that the public was watching and that comments from the White House were detrimental.

“I just think it’s a banana republic when we go down that road and we have those type of statements being made that are conceivably, even if not, influencing the ultimate decision,” Judge Reggie B. Walton said. “I think there are a lot of people on the outside who perceive that there is undue, inappropriate pressure being brought to bear.”

If, what has been set forth about the juror in question is true about her statements in voir dire, a new trial is a foregone conclusion.

Hopefully a new trial without a jury consisting of unhinged Trump haters. Just what were they thinking during the last trial, that nobody would notice? Thankfully the new sheriff in town has a unique weapon, his Twitter account. Long live Donald Trump!

I havent been impressed with Stones defense team based solely upon what I have read in news reports. Nor Flynns until Sidney Powell took over.

The best thing about the American criminal justice system is the unlimited power of the defense lawyer. Convince the Judge that you are entitled to some relief, and he can make the government stand on their heads and spit nickels.

Well Tug, after reading about Juror #1 or hwoever she is, would you agree that if the allegations are true, Stone was denied a fair trial?

Maybe if there was only 1 juror on that jury you might have a point. But I believe that there were 11 others. In only one of them had held out, it would have been a mistrial. And Stone had very high priced lawyers. Maybe they deliberately left a questionable juror in because they knew that their defense was weak?

Daily Caller?  Lordy, a totally unreliable source.

But I'm curious to your rationale.  To be fair, are you suggesting that Trump supporters also cannot serve on the jury?

Bottom line stone is the swamp critter poster boy he deserves what he’s getting and more putting posters on the internet with the judge in the crosshairs common he’s just some old sleazy dirt bag that got caught up in his lies and obstruction just another prop in the dumpster fire that is the trump administration

Yes he should stop Tweeting it's ridiculous but not as ridiculous as the proposed sentence of 9 years for a minor felony, Clinton lied, Comey lied, Strock lied and Schiff lied but nothing happens? 9 years is more than many serious assaults, robberies and rapes.

So therefore, folks you dont like politically are not entitled to a fair trial. Gotcha. I knew that already, I just wanted it confirmed.

Anyway Im sure we will see how it plays out. Have a great day, I think Im gonna go take some pictures of strange things.

Without comment on the word "interfere", why would he pardon a man whose case has not run through the appeal process? Especially when there is always a chance that a ruling from the appeals court will have favourable political consequences?

You mean in DC where 90 percent of the population votes for democrats and more government?

Her statements in voir dire are in the article linked.

Stone’s lawyers knew that she was generally familiar with Stone, they knew she ran for Congress, they specifically asked about political bias, and then refused to seek her removal.

According to the author, there could possibly be an issue only if she hid facts that would have provided a valid basis to challenge her presence on the jury.

He was found guilty. So naturally he deserves it.

Because he can. If he feels that stone is so hard done by then just pardon him.

If not, then let the process run its course without his stupId comments.
