February 22, 20206 yr http://www.sawadee.co.th/thailand/transfer/train-south.html Here's a link, unfortunately it's in Thai, but it seems you can get a train from NST to HY then another/change to PB, I think, sorry couldn't be more help.
February 23, 20206 yr No direct train, AFAIK. http://procurement.railway.co.th/checktime/checktime.asp?lenguage=Eng The trains from Nakhon to Hat Yai Junction run just a couple times per day, you then need to change to a shuttle train (which also runs twice a day, I think) or a minibus to Pedang Besar. If I am not mistaken, a direct train to PB runs from Surat and leaves in the middle of the night. Personally, I never bothered with trains, took a minibus to Hat Yai from Nakhon (3h) and then another one to the border.
