Hello, i came in Thailand with a non O Visa based on a thai child, after the 85 days when I was in Nong Khai for holiday I decided to go in Laos and go back Thailand immediately because I have my baby inside the hospital. immigration gave me 30 days same as tourist. I didn't try to ask for the 60 days extension because my residence is in Sattahip.

21 of February I married and the 27 of February my visa will expire.

Can I go to immigration in jomtien for change my visa from tourist to marriage or I need 15 days left on my stamp?

can someone suggest me the best way for stay here other 3 months? After I have to go back Italy with my family.

thank you very much!

You could apply for a 30 day extension of your 30 visa exempt entry or 60 days to visit your wife. Some offices will do the 60 day extension after the 30 day extension.

Did you plan on applying for a one year extension based upon marriage near the end of 90 day entry you would get from non immigrant visa application at immigration. You could do it after getting the 30 day extension.

In my experience, it'seasier to get a 1  year visa for having a Thai child than to get one for marriage.

Maybe I'm missing something but why would anyone with Thai dependants go for the marriage extension?

Really not much difference between the 2.

The only advantage for doing it based upon being the parent of Thai is that the 400k baht does not have to be in the bank for 2 months but some offices want it for both extensions.

Some offices will not do an extension based upon being the parent of aThai if married.
