TMB and Thanachart Bank announced on Tuesday (February 26) that they have set up and implemented preventive protocols to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 strictly in keeping with the guidelines of the Department of Disease Control and Ministry of Public Health.

“Rumours have been circulating on social media regarding the Don Mueang branch of Thanachart Bank being closed due to a family member of our bank employee being infected with Covid-19.

We would like to inform that such an action was taken according to the bank’s preventive protocols to perform a big cleaning at the branch,” it said. “We would like to confirm that the said employee is clear from infection. Nevertheless, we have asked the said employee to stop working and be in self-quarantine for 14 days as a precaution.”

TMB & Thanachart Bank said it has adopted prevention policies strictly, including cleaning and disinfecting all the touching surfaces regularly at all branches and the bank’s offices. They have also issued protocols for employees not to travel to high-risk countries as a preventive measure.
