Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob

The Transport Ministry will submit 41 Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects for consideration by the Council of Economic Ministers on Friday.

If approved, they will be forwarded to the National Economic and Social Development Council, said minister Saksayam Chidchob on Tuesday (March 3).

Topping the PPP projects due for consideration are the Orange Line mass transit system ( Bangkunon-Minburi) worth Bt235.320 billion; the Purple Line mass transit system (Taopoon-Rat Burana), costing Bt124.791 billion; the Nakhon Pathom-Cha-Am highway, Bt79 billion and the Bt4.942 billion Samui cruise terminal.

He added that the ministry has a budget of Bt208.317 billion for fiscal 2020, which will be fully disbursed within September.

The Department of Highways plans to disburse Bt108.124 billion, the Department of Rural Roads Bt45.881 billion and the Department of Airports Bt5.48 billion.
