Johnson is a liar - he has been sacked on two occasions for lying: from The Times, for inventing a quote then lying about inventing it; from the Tory front bench for lying about having an affair with a journalist. As for Turkey - he even lied about them imminently joining the EU.

 

Johnson is a cheat - his multiple extra marital affairs are surely sufficient testament to that.

 

Johnson is corrupt - of course, corrupt can mean several things. His morally corrupt behaviour is beyond doubt (see Johnson is a cheat); the stench of financial corruption is ripe with him also, from the millions of pounds of public money which was spirited away on the Garden Bridge through to his awarding public contracts to his squeeze of the moment, Jennifer Arcuri.

 

Johnson is a racist - I think his use of the letterbox term is telling in itself, however how about 'picanninies' or those with 'watermelon smiles'? Maybe when he called Obama the 'Part Kenyan President'?

 

Johnson is a homophobe - wrote about 'tank-topped bumboys' and likened gay marriage to bestiality. 

 

There is plenty more, but I think we all know how to google. Please, however, feel free to explain to me why I am being unfair on the man, and that he is actually a great bloke. 

 

The prime minister is so 'racist' he appoints one Asian as home secretary and another as chancellor of the exchequer, everything else is just clutching at straws and colorful language, it's what he does as prime minister that is important not off the cuff remarks made years ago.

Yours and my interpretations of his history and comments are entirely subjective so there is no right or wrong answer. I simply know that my moral compass tells me that the man is not good, decent or honourable, and that he does not demonstrate the human qualities and traits I would wish my elected representatives to possess.
