Mobile units to sell face masks at 21 locations

The Department of Internal Trade announced today (March 6) that it would dispatch mobile units to sell sanitary face masks at 21 areas in Bangkok and its perimeter. The areas are:

 

1. Sanam Luang in Phra Nakhon district

 

2. Wanglang Pier in Bangkok Noi district

 

3. Lumpini Park in Pathumwan district

 

4. Victory Monument in Ratchathewi district

 

5. Yaowarat (China Town) in Samphanthawong district

 

6. Government Savings Bank headquarters in Phaya Thai district

 

7. Fashion Island shopping center in Khan Na Yao district

 

8. Town in Town shopping district in Wang Thong Lang district

 

9. Kasetsart University in Chatuchak district

 

10. Min Buri Market

 

11. Mahidol University in Phutthamonthon district, Nakhon Pathom

 

12. The Giant Swing in Phra Nakhon district

 

13. Klongtoey Market

 

14. Tesco Lotus Pinklao in Bangkok Noi district

 

15. Terminal 21 shopping centre in Watthana district

 

16. Mega Bangna shopping centre in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakarn

 

17. Nonthaburi Pier in Meuang district

 

18. Sriyan Market in Dusit district

 

19. Thewet Market in Dusit district

 

20. Bangyai Market, Nonthaburi

 

21. The Southern Association in Thawi Watthana district

 

The mobile units will sell sanitary face masks in packs of four at Bt10 each, limiting purchases to one pack per person.

Now we will be able to identify the source areas of outbreaks, keep this one saved. There will be spittle flying 1km high when the fight for the last masks start.

Ohhh..... you have to wonder if the Thai writers who put out this stuff have any brains!

 

Announcement about mask distributions. But, no mention of the start or end dates. And no mention of the hours or days that the sales will be occurring.

Not sure where you are, however, here in my little village in Isaan most people are of Khmer antecedence so I doubt those in Krung Thep give a <deleted> about them

There is only Bangkok....there is no rest of the country.....(according to some)

Better to distribute alcohol gel for hand sanitizing, masks are only good for people who already have the virus, or people who are working with people who have the virus. The general population needs to be made more aware of skin transmission instead of thru the air transmission. Same with the common cold or flu, you're more likely to get it from touching something an infected person has touched.
