(Reuters) - A third patient in England who tested positive for the coronavirus has died, England's chief medical officer, Chris Whitty, said in a statement on Sunday.

"The patient, who was being treated at the North Manchester General Hospital, was over 60 years old and had significant underlying health conditions.

They had recently traveled from an affected area. Contact tracing is already underway", the statement added.

I imagine the length of time this person has been ill and the delay in starting tracing makes it pretty much a waste of time. Tracing everyone in every place he went to, talked to, touched, tracing every one on the plane that brought them home the same.

1st Google search "third covid19 patient dies" states Italy.

Google searches also bring back further information which state that the deceased was over 60 and had ‘significant underlying health conditions’....

So... Facts (as they have been reported)

Deceased was over 60

Deceased had returned from Italy (at some point recently)

Deceased had significant underlying health conditions

That the deceased had 'significant underlying health conditions’ could have been the leading complicating factor in his passing, seasonal influenza may have had a similar impact.

Finally: RIP.

Expats in Thailand convinced Thai government is clearly hiding data, now those same expats clearly think the UK PM is hiding data too. Perhaps we should ask who you think isn't hiding data, anyone!

We (family) get ill around end Jan-mid Feb every year as a result of the influx of colds and flu over Xmas & NY. This year was worse than usual but we have long since recovered. I'm beginning to wonder whether what we actually had (& recovered from) might have been the subject of this current hysteria?

I do think the figures reported reflect the situation 7-14 days ago given the time for the infection to show, the time to collect the samples and then test them.

Was it Covid-19 which killed him or was it the underlying health problem(s) ?
