hel tells you he is flying AIR ASIA.....there is  A CLUE there somewhere

True, you're so observant, I did actually think about that and I've checking the AA site every few hours to see if it's listing full details, and sure enough about 4 hours ago lots of full details on screen, in fact I bought a ticket Sydney to Chiang Mai and return.

It's also possible he booked through a site like edreams, skyscanner and many more.

Yes, can get re-entry permit any time before departure. It will be good until used or your permitted to stay ends. I get a multi e-entry permit when I get my extension of stay.

  • Your re-entry permit is valid to the date your current extension of stay ends. Look at the expiration date on it and it will be valid for use until that day.

I guess Sydney to Bangkok with about 3 hr stopover in Kuala Lumpur.

Did you also get a confirmation for return to Sydney?

In any case, thanks for sharing. Thank you.

Yeah. That's the flight.

I booked one way. I live in Thailand.

I booked today AA from Sydney to Chiang Mai 5 Apr and return 11 Apr. Seems AA has reduced many of their international flights to once a week.

On your stopover in KL did you use the AA stopover lounge? I used it once before, it does have a small selection of freebies, good coffee, wi-fi, better than sitting bored in more public areas. Not free of course, I included it in my initial booking but I forget the cost. But it's a long way from the arrival gate and same back to next departure gate.
