Usual Trumpers' m.o.! When short of facts and argument, evoke fake news and deep state conspiracy.

I will finish with a quote from one Trump hater - this is the truth of the Trump haters:

Sure, Democrats are loving Trump’s slow moving train crash ... as the number of infections and deaths rises, Trump approval ratings and markets fall.

CNN? MSNBC? MSM? 24x7?  Any of the major networks??

Trump said something IN MARCH 2020 !!

Was Obama attacked in 2009 to 2010 - 61 millions caught it - 11,600 died !!!

So what you're saying is Trump should also get blamed for this:

[In a report published on March 6 with data from February 29, the CDC said there had been about 20,000 reported deaths from the flu during the 2019-2020 flu season, which lasts from October to May. Child deaths have hit the highest count since 2009, at 136.]

https://www.yahoo.com/news/coronavirus-epidemic-spreads-cdc-says-170716366.html

Why is the media not covering this?  Why is Trump not being blamed?

Nah, we'll let Trump slide on this one.

It's funny how they tried to delay/limit the testing but because of free speech they can't prevent doctors from publishing the results. Trump probably know this crisis is the greatest threat to his re-election and the economy but I think he is only making it worse. I thought his chance of re-election were great because the democrat don't have any solid candidate but now he is playing with fire.

You honestly believe that rubbish? Blinded by hatred by twisted self loathing. Sir T put in travel restrictions and the d3ms went ballistic he has his team of experts and managers working 24/7 while dwms like petulant children scream in fits of rage and their communist candidate wants borders open with free flow of people into USA.... But hay the other guy who is unaware who is wife is, what day it is or even where he is. Lol we here in the UK have homes for elderly people like him but the Dems want to make him president. Its the flu and to put things into perspective on Friday 1800 people in USA had died from but with single fingers of c19 wow. Why are the figures being addedto but recoveries not being taken off the totals......?

What is it with you guys and the "hate" word lately???

I don't feel any hate, nor have I expressed any on any subject here on TFV....

However, I do recognize when an American president has failed the American people he was elected to protect because of:

--his own ego-inflated ignorance,

--disregard for expert knowledge, by repeatedly making false and unsupported virus claims

--placing his re-election interests ahead of the health of Americans by aggressively trying to minimize the risks of the outbreak that are now becoming evident.

--and failing to have the U.S. govt. mount an early and broad testing program for CV, allowing cases to spread undetected, while other countries' testing efforts around the world were leaving the U.S. in the dust.

That's not hate. That's just the reality of what's occurred under his watch.

That is your mistake

Reality=Trump=Oxymoron

Thats your reality. Others think differently. You deny you hate them? Have contempt for them? You protest too much.

Because the number of total infected is used to determine the number that are likely to be infected that are still untested and also how many are likely to require hospitalization and mortality rate.

So hate, fake news, conspiracy, etc... come up as substitutes.

Well I only pay attention to hate, which has clearly been expressed and can no longer be questioned. There is no sense arguing with haters, you just have to wait till they come to an epiphany about the way their hatred is destroying themselves.

Hey Im a Trump supporter in this Corona nonsense, how many of you would have me over for dinner LOL

The Osterholm guy in your video is a serious scientist on these issues. Here's another link of him that CNN posted just today:

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/10/opinions/osterholm-coronavirus-interview-bergen/index.html

He doesn't go into these details in the CNN article. But in the above video starting at about 1 minute, 40 seconds, he estimates the likely death and hospitalizations toll of the CV in the U.S. during the coming 3-7 months:

--10 to 15 times worse than the seasonal influenza outbreaks

--48 million hospitalizations

--96 million infected

--more than 480,000 deaths

In the CNN piece, he gives the nod to N95 respirator masks over simple surgical (drugstore) masks:

Quote

[Because of shortages] We'll likely have to revert back to the use of more available surgical masks in contrast to N95 respirators, which are the preferred PPE to prevent the spread of the virus between patients and health care personnel. Surgical masks, we know are largely ineffective in preventing virus transmission.

He also rejects the argument that the arrival of summer in the U.S. will kill off the virus:

Quote

We keep hearing that this is going to die out with the spring warmer weather in the Northern Hemisphere. SARS ended in 2003 in June, but it had nothing to do with the seasons at all. It took until June of 2003 to understand how to stop transmission and then carry out our prevention activities.... We have no evidence from what we know about influenza to suggest that COVID-19 will subside with summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
