Situation Phuket airport and Phuket itself?

Featured Replies

How's the situation at Phuket airport, is it quiet or busy?

Are there long waiting queues?

Does one have to undergo a lengthy health screening?

And is Phuket itself quiet at the moment, not that many tourists?

Airport quiet.

No health screaning 2 days ago.

Phuket less Chineese, many Russians.

Are they now requiring health certificates confirming no-Covid 19 for arrivals from Hong Kong and the 5 other "infected zones"? That's supposed to begin from today. Anyone know?

Phuket is noticeably quieter with fewer tourists coming.

This has resulted in a plus for some. The lady found many bargains at Makro today with low prices for apples, pork and even imported Aussie steak.

I guess the hotels, etc. are not buying much at the moment.

Thanks, Croc!

Yeah Bargains in Makro are great.  Any heath checks or requirements for certificates for HK arrivals?
