In short no dont believe a word of the figures put out by the thai authorities.Weve just returned from Bangkok and Chang mai ,we are both in our sixties and to be honest if we had know about covid 19 when booking we would have waited.

We found it a lot quieter than normal  as we visit a couple of times a year but this for us was a bit of a bonus ,not so for the taxi and hotel industries ,our hotel in Chaing mai was nearly empty. So i believe you pay your money and take your chances ,but if you go just have a great holiday. Most of the BTS passengers are wearing masks which is probably sensible ,but whether its effective in slowing the disease time will tell.
