Gold price closes Bt100/baht higher

The price of gold rose by Bt100 per baht weight at Friday’s close (March 13), the Gold Traders Association reported.

 

 

At 4.54pm, the buying price of a gold bar was Bt23,750 per baht weight with selling price Bt23,850, while the buying price of gold ornaments was Bt23,316.08 per baht weight and selling price Bt24,350.

 

Prices increased from the morning session when the buying price of a gold bar was Bt23,650 and Bt23,750 to sell, while gold ornaments was Bt23,225.12 to buy and Bt24,250 to sell.

 

Gold contracts in COMEX futures to be delivered in April fell by US$52 to $1,590.30 per ounce at Thursday’s close due to uncertainty about the global economic impact from the Covid-19 outbreak after US President Donald Trump suspended travel from Europe.
