PCD pours in more efforts to control wildfires and haze in Thailand

Featured Replies

The Mrs told me that all the haze is due to Myanmar and Cambodia.
PDC and MSM: Mission Accomplish!  Blame shifted.
In the meantime I can drive 10 km up or down our valley and find fires burning in the mountains.  The various Thai ministries add a lot of hot air but absolutely no enforcement effort to stop the arson.

Make those mushrooms illegal. How difficult can it be?

Reminder : pollution kills and affect health more than anything. But more slowly.

One of the risk factors for Covid-19 is the prevalence of ACE2 receptors in the lungs.  Smokers have a significantly higher number of these receptors.  Given that the PM 2.5 effect on the lungs is similar to smoking, it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to see increased numbers of ACE2 receptors in the populations of Northern Thailand most effected by the annual PM 2.5 pollution.  And as such, that pollution may now end up killing much, much faster.

Who do I believe, the international travel magazines saying retire to Thailand?  With pristine beaches, Amazing quality of life. Great Thai culture welcoming every foreigner with a smile, and good wishes.

Or the people on TV that obviously don't know what they are talking about.
