ianezy0
Today I visit a friend at a restaurant around a well known lake near to Pattaya. At the entrance are two bottles of hand sanitiser. A friendly local Thai bar manager was ensuring that everyone used the sanitiser before entering the open area and sitting down to enjoy food and a cold beer, as requested by the bar owner. Only 6 people sitting around a table, including me. 3 of those entered and ignored the request to sanitise their hands. One pretended to drink it for a joke, another ignored the request and the other said he had sanitised his hands before arriving and walked passed him and sat down. The stress on the bar manager was plain to see. I can very well understand the attitude the locals have on these people. Unfortunately these ignorant few are a reflection on the majority of the expat population.
