Extending non O multi entry

Featured Replies

I have a non O 1 year multi entry visa based on being the father of a thai child that runs out in August but the current stamp allows me to stay until the 31st March. Can I get an extension to the current stamp as I don't really want to leave the country with such uncertainty about getting back in. If so do the mother and daughter have to be present when applying for an extension?

You can get 60 days. Wife has to go with you.

Change that to child and it would be correct in this case. Their mother does not need to be present.

You can apply for 60 day extension to visit your child. You will need their birth certificate and a copy, copy of their house book registry and ID card if old enough to have one.

You also need proof you are living within the designated area for the immigration office where you apply.

If you had four different children by four different women in four different provinces then maybe you might be in luck with that one. Not currently aware of anyone who has done it...........maybe you could be the first.

It is one 60 day extension per entry to the country. Not per child you have.

so,after the 60-day extension, which brings him to the end of May,can he then go to a border crossing (assuming they are open) and get his last stamp to Aug.?

I'm in a similar situation with the same type of visa,my next run is due at end of May.The visa expires end of Aug. ...good to know some options if I need them - Thanks!

He could get one entry at the end of May, and another just before expiry of the visa in August.
