Don't know about Transylvania, or being Jewish, but King Charles has deep German roots. Royals changing the 'House of' name, from the German House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to the House of Windsor, prior to WWs, as a lot of anti German sentiment in British society.

This may help a few understand some royal roots ...
