WHO praises Thailand for its efforts to contain COVID-19

 

 

The World Health Organization’s representative in Thailand has praised Thailand for its ability, to date, to contain the spread of COVID-19 and for being the first country, outside China, to identify a coronavirus as the cause, according to Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

 

The WHO’s Dr. Daniel Kertesz called on Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul at the Ministry of Public Health for discussions on the global COVID-19 situation.

 

Mr. Anutin said Dr. Kertesz also praised Thailand’s promotion of social distancing as a means of preventing the accelerated spread of the contagion.

Praises a country which should have closed it's borders weeks ago, like Russia did and who now has almost zero problems with the virus, must be an early April 1st joke. They put the whole country at risk by putting income above the nations health, they should be ashamed of themselves.

I'll suggest to WHO's DG to invest in Lie Detectors, as part of the Pandemics control infrastructure.

The 20% rise in cases in the last week or so could be because more stringent testing has been finely been implemented. Many of the new cases are people who were linked to that Bangkok boxing stadium.

So far, there are very few official cases outside of Bangkok.

This is the same WHO that appointed Robert Mugabe as Goodwill Ambassador after totally destroying the health care system in Zimbabwe. I have always hoped that these big globalist organizations like WHO and UN would be meritocracies but alas the loonies have well and truly taken over the asylum. Most WHO briefings that I watched regarding Corona were focused on highlighting racism towards Chinese and little to do with declaring it an emergency pandemic and dealing with it. Just sad.

 In site of the praise from dubious quarters, I do believe Thailand has done a good job so far in terms of delaying the Covid19 spread, and do deserve praise for taking the threat seriously.

So funny, Anutin photographed with the maskless WHO doctor... This WHO doctor must be getting some nicely padded envelopes, he clearly needs to get out and about more before he starts praising Thailand for controlling the spread of CV19.. How can Thailand be praised when it is only reporting 1 death, which is hard to believe given the fatalities in countries around the world..

I wonder if A-nut-in tried to persuade the suit to wear a mask for the photo shoot, it's obvious he didn't, otherwise we might have read different headlines like; the WHO are a bunch of dirty farangs spreading the disease, like the rest, but not the Chinese, they have money and spend.

'Official cases' = Absolute rubbish !!!

It's in Roi Et, Buriram, Khon Khean, Surin, Kalasin, Chiang Mai... I could go on with the list but i think my point has been made.

WHO are basing that praise on the numbers - supplied by Thailand.  Thoise numbers are 'in house' and based on the very low rate of tests done - and I doubt they were done correctly or reported accurately.

 

Does WHO also believe the TAT numbers?
