why didn't he deport the dirty farang for not wearing a mask

Someone died in the village yesterday. I asked the missus what from, she said “he been sick over one week, don’t know he old, bomb on Monday”.

I told her she was not going to the bomb, possibly a couple of hundred therefore till she found out what he died from.

Around here there are many people ignorant of Corona which is evident in no mask, the sitting around drinking whiskey with the one glass for the whiskey and one glass for the water.

It is clear that authorities are doing nothing to make people in villages aware of the dangers already.

No one, well TV anyway believes the government on any statistics, Corona is here in Issan they have no way to measure or test for it.

I feel so sorry for people here who are going to die because of the total lack of thought or concern for them.

What does that have to do with the thread  topic ?

Topic is Covid 19. That is what it has to do with.

WHO is praising Thailand, while POTUS is deflecting questions about the Covid 19 crisis in America.  For the Thai bashers, just one question.  Where would you rather be living?

So funny, Anutin photographed with the maskless WHO doctor... This WHO doctor must be getting some nicely padded envelopes, he clearly needs to get out and about more before he starts praising Thailand for controlling the spread of CV19.. How can Thailand be praised when it is only reporting 1 death, which is hard to believe given the fatalities in countries around the world..

what is Italy doing differently, why is it being hit so hard, it really does stand out from the rest, mortality much higher than anywhere else and yet they have top notch medical facilities

I read that Italy accepted supplies from China because Brussels and other EU countries offered nothing

Did China send them more than medical supplies

doesn't make sense

Something just doesn't add up

See how many that continues to spout BS, with no foundation. Sometimes I just think that you are projecting your own fears on positive things to make them disappear.

So, the WHO praises Thailand. Thailand have, according to the numbers, controlled the outbreak fairly good.

Most posters still just spout out their negative BS. Think! Is the WHO a pack of retards that blindly believe Thailand a praise them? At the same time all in Thailand is lying their teeth of to hide the grim reality from you?

Just stop it! You all make yourself stand out like totalt dumb nuts.

It´s better that you all start to help instead. Follow the rules and recommendations, put a mask on your face, only do the, and go out when, necessary. That´s the best you can do.

As you say, it looks like they stand out from the rest. Does that mean you are blaming all other countries for hiding their numbers too?

Yes per WSJ article China also sent --

A group of 300 Chinese intensive-care doctors began to arrive in Italy on Wednesday ...

https://www.wsj.com/articles/chinese-doctors-and-supplies-arrive-in-italy-11584564673

But maybe that wasn't what was being implied was the 'more' that was being sent?

I think I now understand the PM General's earlier statement that everything is 100% under control.

He meant 100% of the population will get the virus, thus be immune later.

If they could see the stupidity and bickering of bar owners in Pattaya and Bang Saray with no concern whatsoever except about loosing a few weeks takings, they may recant their praise

Seems crazy.

Pattaya is full of people from the most impacted countries who have been allowed to come here for months.

Jeez people.  You cannot handle good news?

Here is my birth countries president's response to a reporter, “What do you say to Americans watching right now who are scared?” NBC's Peter Alexander asked, citing the number of cases and deaths of the coronavirus.

“I say that you are a terrible reporter, that's what I say,” Trump responded. "I think that's a very nasty question. And I think that's a very bad signal that you're putting out to the American people ... You ought to be ashamed of yourself."

this is the same old <deleted> fear mongering  mindset . I am glad the president responded so intelligently

No, Anutin said WHO praised Thailand which is the same as Trump saying CNN said he was America's greatest President.

what do you think - who is hiding numbers, have you a theory or are just trolling and making unfounded accusations

Does it matter what the CNN( CORONAVIRUS NEWS NETWORK ) say about trump .

The Indian restaurants in Patong yesterday were a disgrace.

Aggressively going up to every person walking past inches from their face promoting their 39 baht beers. Gf said she felt saliva on her face from one of them.

We tried one a few days before the ban when they were less aggressive - once inside you get pestered to order a 300+ baht meal and get rude service if ordering anything on the promotion menu.

Government should be targeting these places next.

not all

Treetown was operating normally serving beers and was very busy - coffee shops open with no restrictions

I suspect the places still running normally are owned/run by influential people who operate as they feel like unchallenged

Exactly. Doesn't look like much has changed when you go out on the streets in Bangkok. Especially social distancing is non existent. My neighbours go to work every morning just as always. I'm sure most of them could even work from home but why isn't this enforced? The BTS and public transportation is going to remain crowded as long as the offices are open!

The best joke I've seen was at a Big C yesterday when SCB Bank had put their sellers around the corridors as usual, stopping people to have a chat about their services. Saw one of them managed to stop some old lady for a chat. They all wore masks but as soon as the SCB lady go to chat to this old woman she took her mask off and was yelling straight to het face. There's a really unbelievable example about how Thai people think or don't think! And what a great idea from SCB too. You would think that stopping people for a chat would be the first thing to avoid during this time of social distancing.

sounds about right

restaurants should not be excluded from these closing banns, they are enclosed spaces that serve the public - no different than bars

I am so tired! Trolling is apparently a word that people start use when they don´t wont or can´t answer a question.

My post was simple. I just asked you, if you clearly say that Italy stands out and you are certain that Thailand hides the numbers. When then Italy stand out so much, like You post, are you then believing that other countries are also hiding the numbers?

I do not believe that anyone is hiding the numbers, and I sincerely hope that all countries understands the severity of the situation and tries their best to test and contain the spread of the virus. That´s the only sensible theory one can have, otherwise all hope is gone. At least I am not accusing the authorities for hiding the real facts without any kind of proof to back it up.

There is a small difference. Don´t take it wrong, I actually agree with you. However, restaurants serve food, that is a necessity for people and bars do not.

If it was up to me, I would close the whole country for 30 days, with only guards patrolling the streets. Unfortunately that will not be enough. There will always be a couple of countries that don´t. That means the virus will still be spreading even after 30 days. In other words, I will come back and bite us in the ar5e, disregarding how you turn around and how many times you do it, until a vaccin has been made, approved av distributed.

Someone should urgently inform the WHO Headquarters in Geneva about TVF, so that the WHO could learn the finer points from the top experts here-in.

Shame on you WHO, for your ignorance.

yes but they are not the only source of food just like bars are not the only source of Beer, it isn't about that - it is about limiting people from close contact with others - treetown in Pattaya was in full swing last night very busy serving many people beer and food - look at the ban in the UK - restaurants were not excluded but could offer a delivery service or perhaps takeaway - just no sitting

some of the little restaurants around pattaya that serve many could be issued with an order - no sitting - takeaway only - that would make some sense IMO

so yes come to treetown and order food to go - no sitting all night drinking

PS - you got a reasonable answer to a reasonable question and sensible discussion ????
