Numerous people are returning to their hometowns after the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration closed 26 establishments for 20 days to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the capital.

On Monday (March 23), the number of passengers waiting for trains at Hua Lamphong train station was at normal levels.

The train station has run measures to deal with the Covid-19 risk by setting up checking points at its entrance and platforms. The station has also provided alcohol-based hand sanitisers to passengers.

Hua Lamphong station has prepared waiting seats a metre apart, in line with the social distance policy being practised everywhere. The one-metre distance policy has been applied to ticket sellers and buyers as well, in order to protect them from Covid-19 infection.
