PM Prayut hints at suspending public transport to curb virus spread

Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha hinted today that he might order a scale-down or suspension of public transport if the rate of new COVID-19 infections does not show a sustained decrease.

He said that he might have to prevent people from travelling, even though intra and inter provincial travel has reduced by about 40%, following the declaration of a national state of emergency last week. The Prime Minister and senior health officials believe that reduction in commuting and travel should be around 90% in order to have a significant impact on the infection rate.

Prayut also insisted that the state of emergency will stay and a weekly review is being made.  He also suggested that if the situation doesn’t improve, the state of emergency could be extended for three months.

Regarding the 5,000 baht monthly cash handout for people affected by business closures, the Prime Minister made it clear that not all 20 million people who have applied for the money will qualify. He warned that the state will demand a refund from anyone who receives the money based on a fraudulent application.

Good move. Force them to use private transport (the back of pick-ups, etc.) where the statistics will show a "more acceptable" cause of death.

As a true man of the people, the Supreme Leader thoroughly understands the current perils of public transport.

He therefore advises people to follow his own example of infection free travel...by using their private limousines, their private helicopters, and their private jets for all transportation needs. This will produce immediate results.

As always, the general leads by example.

If that picture was taken at rush hour,  cha cha is doing what he is known for: making the irrelevant even less relevant, while boring people to death.

Minivan race drivers will need more yaba to cope with the increased demand. They brake for nobody - no brakes there anyway.

"Prime Minister and senior officials believe that reduction in commuting and travel"

'Belief' is not science but rather an emotional viewpoint. With 40% reduction in ridership social distancing can be maintained as apparent in the photo.

Limit ridership and ADD more cars.

2025...

"and I just thought of another thing..."

Tried that before

maybe this is why extensions are now being made hard to get?

(lets be honest 3 months is being optimistic IMO)

How do "essential people" get around? If you freeze transportation, how will that help you?

Might be much earlier !

As soon as people find out about the artificially created pandemic by the criminal WHO

he might be in big trouble.

The criminal record of the WHO is a million miles long.

Pretending to vaccinate young women but in reality sterilizing them in Africa or India

is just a tiny part of the story.

Colluding with the pharma industry, calling a pandemic and then cashing in on the vaccines is

another small peace in the record of the WHO.

With Bill Gates being one of the main sponsors of the WHO and at the same time being

an eugenics fanatic [like his father !!!] it becomes pretty clear what these criminals are up to.

Pawns like Prayut are just obedient servants to these people - and he will fall at one point !

Maybe very soon ....

As a nurse or pharmacist, for example, you should still be able to use public transport to get to work. Instead of shutting it down, it should be restricted to those who legitimately need it, which will lower the numbers and make social distancing easier.

Prayut does not take instructions from the WHO.

Everyone knows from where his instructions come.

The Country of Corona Pandemics.

That photo is not taken during rush hours! .... limiting passengers would be difficult because people would get stuck on platforms if their station is'nt near the end of the line.

Then the WHO and a certain someone take their orders from the same place it would seem. Considering the current head of the WHO is a former Ethiopian politician tied to human rights violations whose biggest supporter was the CCP. https://thefederalist.com/2020/03/17/u-s-funds-world-health-organization-that-boot-licks-china-with-deadly-results/

Do it. Do it now. Shut this puppy down or you will have thousands of deaths. These people like many just can't follow simple rules to live. Idiots.

It should have been done at the same time that they announced the cancellation of Songkran. Once again, a dollar short and a day late.

It's probably too late. The cat was out of the bag when the thousands of jobless workers from cities returned to the countryside.

Now it's hard-core 24h curfew or extensive testing and selective isolation. They don't seem to be ready for extensive random testing, even though many claims of quick test kits have been made, so it's hammertime.
