Man armed with knife kills two in attacks in southeast France: mayor

LYON, France (Reuters) - A man armed with a knife attacked people out shopping in the southeastern French town of Romans-sur-Isère on Saturday, killing two and wounding five, French officials said.

 

The town is currently under a coronavirus lockdown, although people are allowed out to buy essentials.

 

"This morning, a man embarked a terrorist journey, killing 2 people and wounding 5 others," Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said during a visit to the town.

 

Castaner said security services would investigate the circumstances of the incident, working with the national anti-terrorism prosecutor who will decide whether or not to qualify the incident as a terrorist act.

 

The attacks took place in the morning outside a bakery where customers were queuing, and at shops in the town centre, according to Mayor Marie-Hélène Thoraval, who said the assailant had been arrested.

 

BFM TV and LCI TV news stations reported that the suspect is a Sudanese national who has been granted asylum in France.

 

Witnesses told Reuters the man struck at random and in several places while moving around the town centre.

According to witnesses cited by local radio station France Bleu Drome Ardeche, he shouted "Allah Akbar!"(God is Greatest) as he stabbed his victims.

Again... last terror attack in France occured on January 5

Sudan is one of the breeding grounds for Islamism. 

The asylum application mechanism is an effective method of allowing massive illegal immigration to take place.

During the search carried out at the killer's place, handwritten documents with religious connotations were found in which he complained having to live in a country of disbelievers. 2 other Sudanese living at the same place are actually interviewed in relation with the attack. 

That is the main problem they cause to the host society.

Yes and it could be that this same Sudanese Islamist granted refugee status, based on who knows what narrative, supports forced marriage or excision, or blasphemy laws... alll other valid motives to ask for asylum as well...

Yeah, I think we can say that multiculturasim has died a death, like there's certain base values we all adhere to, and theirs is not the same as ours. Maybe with the Jamaicans we could find some common ground, or with a lot of the world, but as for Islamists I'll leave you with this one quote "Who's your hero", "my husband". Yeah, that's a real life quote. Talk about Hegel's master servant relationship. Of course, in real life, the opposite kicks in, it's mostly women running men, at least in my experience. As for Islamists, good luck to you, trying to control women has always been a losing game. Ha! You go with the flow.

but the rivers of blood speech has been wrongly quoted for years and a lot of things accorded to this speech he didn't mean them.

Personally, I think when your country's culture might be swamped, that's a good time to take a stand. We all loved the Jamaicans cos they adhered to the same cultural standards, these Pakistani guys, not so much. As a guy, I don't fear, it might even be advantageous to me, as a woman I'd be very wary. They might be virile, but it comes at a price. You've emasculated your own guys, now you wear the Abaya, and you're the fourth wife, assuming you've reached puberty. Ha!

In small numbers its ok to have other cultures living amongst you ,but the west has been swamped by people like this one ,and it is destroying us ,also i see 3 more have been arrested ,all "refugees" like him .

A case in point is where i used to live in the UK many years ago there were 3 small communitys ,one was Polish ,they completely integrated ,another was West Indian and in the main they got on with us ,the third was people of this guys faith ,they kept to themselves ,did not integrate but just ran their shops ,now 40 years later the town is like little Bangladesh,you dare not enter their areas after dark ,rare to see a woman out and about unless completely covered. sorry thats not "multiculturalism"

Multiculturalism - to Western politicians, most of them, means their own citizens must respect, welcome, and never do or say anything to offend new immigrants of any faith or nation. But those new immigrants are free to disrespect the beliefs, cultures, religions, manners, norms etc of their new "home". And that disrespect must not only be tolerated we must change to make sure that they're not offended or inconvenienced.

 

More and more government, civil service, local government, public office, becomes "multicultural" with a bias against the host nation people in appointing people, electing people etc. That ensures multiculturalism grows and strengthens.
