PM Hun Sen bans fish exports to safeguard domestic needs during fight against COVID-19

Samdech Hun Sen has announced the banning of all fish exports to foreign markets, in addition to paddy rice and milled rice.

 

The move is aimed to supply local demand when the country is fighting the novel coronavirus. Mr. Hun Sen also ordered the market management authorities to ensure that vendors did not increase the fish prices.

 

At the same time, local instant noodles and mineral water factories were instructed to ramp up their production of  noodles and mineral water for the Royal Government to help the needy people.
