How to Find Handyman for Small Jobs

RocketDog

Recommended Posts

I have several small jobs around the house that involve painting, plumbing, tile work, carpentry, electric, etc.

I have no idea how to find folks that do it.

I think most of these workers just use word of mouth.

Asking neighbors, lawn guy, pool guy, etc. has yielded little information. If you've ever asked a local for directions somewhere you can guess how well that works.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried looking for any construction of housing or a new house built going on near you?

That is what I did before.  But, you will probably need to take a Thai with you to translate.

The guys working in construction either will be glad to make some extra money, or possibly direct you to someone who can.

Also, Homepro or a place like Baan and Beyond has lists of people who can do the work.  But, you will probably need to purchase the hardware/construction items from them first.

Good point Charlie.

I'm in Hua Hin, Prachuapkirikhan Province.

Thanks to kbb6060 & saorsa for ideas. I'll try that when I'm finally released from incarceration!
