If you take off the 200 K + " Tourists " from Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar and possibly the 23 K from Vietnam, the figure looks even more bleak. Many of these will be Labourers that are working in Thailand

And probably a more realistic figure of around 650 K Pukka Tourists, but included in that number will be " Fi - Fo " people who transited to other destinations.

75% down ! realistically nearer to 85 / 90 % down

Still impressive that about 50% of Europeans still arrived as normal.

April should be interesting,  but you might have to find a stronger word.

Put things in perspective.
The arrivals from Laos and Cambodia ( over 200k of total ) are not all HISO's coming on private jets. Their contribution to the economy is the graft they provide at slave wages that other nationalities won't touch.

Only arrivals with tourist visas are counted, hence diplomats, UN staff, non-O/A/B, etc are excluded.

That said, line 187 "Utopia" listed as an arrival nationality surely leaves some wiggle room for a fudge factor.

Some  points, the laos, malays, burmese and khmer numbers are worthless

as they might drive over the border 1-3x+/month for shopping (or in the case of malays F#@king)

i would assume they are counting not just tourist visas BUT visa exempt stamps

NON L-A visa holders (those Burmese, khmers, laos) would not be counted as they have work permits

sad numbers with april 50% less
