A heat low covers upper Thailand while the southerly and southeasterly winds bring humidity to the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions.

The weather will be hot to very hot in some areas of the North while thundershowers are likely in some parts of the lower North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East regions, the Thailand Meteorological Department has forecast.

The easterly winds blow over the South and the Gulf bringing thundershowers to many areas.

The dust situation in the upper North, as well as in the upper Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, will see improvement.

Forecast for Bangkok and its vicinity on Sunday: Hot with isolated thundershowers. Minimum temperature of 27-28°C and maximum 35-37°C. Southerly winds at 10-20 kilometres her hour.

Nationwide weather forecast for next seven days:

From April 19-22, the heat low cell still covers the upper country, making the weather hot to very hot in the area. In the South, the easterly winds will weaken and bring less rain. After that, another high pressure area from China will extend to the Northeast and the South China Sea. Thunderstorms with gusty winds and hail will be likely in the upper country.

From April 19-22, people in upper Thailand should beware of the severe weather, keep away from trees, unsecured buildings and billboards. Farmers should beware of damage to crop.

From April 19-23, the weather will be hot to very hot. The minimum temperature will be 26-28°C and maximum 35-40°C. Southerly winds will blow at 10-20kph. After that, isolated thunderstorms with gusty winds and hail are likely.

Not to bad today as is very cloudy -Phetchabun province.

We’ve finally been getting some rain this week.

Looked like it was going to smash down with rain in the last 2 days in CM, but it hasn't come...yet

That would be helpfull if we knew where we lived!

We definitely have the "hot weather" here, West of UT, waiting for the thunderstorms and more importantly some rain! ????

Most Thai farmers - and long-term resident farang expats - know the weather as good or better than the TMD "experts". Oh let's see - it's getting to late April, so it's gonna be hot, and when the humidity starts to peak out and people start getting irritable and those meng mao flying termites start to swarm at night... guess what? Rains perhaps? "Summer storms" and soon an end to repeat arsonist fires as we lead into irrigation of fields and planting season. Oh and that Fking Asian Koel (Nok Ga-wow) will finally S T F U for another 6 months.
