Amnesty extended for all May.

Towards end of may (or earlier) announcement that amnesty will have final extension June 1 to 14.

Optimistic conclusion Jack.

Thailand was the first Country outside China to confirm a positive covid19 infection. (Jan 30th)

Many other Countries, especially the local adjoin Countries reported their first cases much later, so they're behind in the curve and flattening process. I predicted the amnesty being extended to July, but it could be months later.

Thailand itself will lift certain restrictions on a timescale based on infection figures.

There is no plan to open schools until July, which could be extended yet again.

Most alarming is Migrant workers have been granted amnesty until November, which suggests they are not expecting Lao, Cambodia or Myanmar to open land borders anytime soon.

Flights may resume beforehand, but expect testing and possible self isolating.

My concern is that as soon as one window opens, regardless of where, allowing foreigners to leave and re-enter, Thai Immigration will end the amnesty.

@Tanoshi Agree. That example was not my personal belief.

Just for one other country example, Australia. There has been 800 Australians return to Adelaide (smallish city) from India over last 2 days. They will be sent to designated hotel and held under quarantine guarded by hotel security and also state Police.

My belief for Thailand that it will be much longer than some people thinking.

Next trip I have is June 12 flight to Saigon.

I give it about zero chance.
