Thailand developing vaccines against COVID-19

Don't they know Bill Gates has his vaccine ready now, with a free nanochip.

Oh, no - not another of those conspiracy theorists claiming "Chill Bill" and his Big Pharm chums are using this latest pandemic to make a bigger killing than any virus ever could.

Wait a minute. What's this?

"The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has donated more than $21 million towards developing a vaccine technology that uses a tattoo-like mechanism which injects invisible nanoparticles under the skin that is now being tested in a vaccine against the virus that causes COVID-19

The microneedle technology is also being wed to injectable technology, (also) funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which embeds under the skin a vaccination record visible by near infrared light that can be read by smartphone technology".

Thailand has three options for using vaccines.

A fourth option could be to reverse engineer a vaccine developed by another country.
But doubt they would consider this.

The Thai self delusion is initially funny but eventually become irritating and tedious. What I find strange is that even Thais educated in the West often have this Thaicentric attitude.

It's just a matter of time before wetware becomes commonplace. Embedded IDs are a simple first step, then full on cyborg.

Mouth-bigger-than-brain-disease is endemic in Thailand, perhaps they could find a cure for that? Or their ego, that would be a big help.

They use tiger balm at it's base.

The third choice is to wait for other countries to come up with a vaccine and then import it.

Pretty sure that is the most likely outcome. I can't recall  Thailand ever developing anything that is medically massed produced globally.

Tiger Balm?

I'm going to bet you're American. Why did you append the country to the university? It's as if you never heard of the university and assume others haven't too. I feel nauseous.

There will be no safe vaccine in the near future, unless someone gets really lucky..

Thailand is really lucky just look at their C19 numbers!

The vaccine from Bill Gates is from the same quality as he sold to India to stop Polio there...50.000 indian kids died from that vaccine.

I think it was 500,000

Going to be a real dilemma to the anti-vaxxers. Get sick or get a shot. They seem to have crawled out of the cracks already.

Before you can create a vaccine for a virus, someone's gonna have to isolate it first.

Has been done already multiple times around the world.  The entire genetic sequence of the virus is also known in detail, along with a significant number of genetic variants.

Yeah, but. . . The first report cited does not say only (!) seven girls died. It says an investigation was being held. The second article, from the FT, is behind a paywall.

According to by Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Chairman of Children's Health Defence, in addition to the seven girls who died, approximately 1,200 suffered severe side effects, including autoimmune and fertility disorders.

An Indian Government inquiry into the trials condemned Gates-funded researchers for committing "pervasive ethical violations", which included pressuring vulnerable village girls into participating, bullying parents; forging consent forms; and refusing medical care to the injured girls.

PATH, the Gates-backed NGO involved in the programme, was described by investigators a "a willing tool of foreign drug companies" and subsequently got their marching orders.

Your faith in Wikipedia is, unfortunately, widely shared, but misguided. Google's obsession with presenting the website as their go-to online oracle should be enough to raise alarm bells..

You might find this interesting, if discomforting, reading:

Oh, and do you actually dispute the facts in the article I cited - or do you find it easier to play the man rather than the ball?

Thanks for the laugh. Let's just hope we are still laughing a couple of decades from now.

Number are wurst but I'm suspecting Thais did indeed get lucky (or thair masters gifted them the asymptomatic version of the wuhanese virus). If they ever test for antibodies, they might find a very large portion of the population had it, asymptomatic. It would explain a lot things.

Few deaths

but an economy almost at a standstill with two tens of millions of unemployed who will remain so for most of them.
