Siriraj Hospital calls for blood donations

Siriraj Hospital is fast running out of group A and B blood since people have not been making many donations since the Covid-19 outbreak.

Even though it has sufficient supplies for other blood groups, the hospital expects to run out if the situation remains the same.

Hence, the hospital has called on healthy people to donate blood and help save people.

Before donating, people are advised to have slept for at least six hours and must weigh more than 48 kilograms. The hospital also suggests that donors consume no high-fat food, smoke or drink alcohol before making the donation.

Donors can visit Siriraj Hospital from 8.30am to 4pm every day and call (02) 419 8081, extensions 123 or 128, for more information.

Now I understand the reason for the shortage...

Ask those billionairs again.  On second thoughts .....don't bother .

Not In BKK so perhaps a pedantic mute point; I'd give blood readily ... but I'm not allowed out of our tambon to donate.

Can someone clairify this with me , people donate blood for free in Thailand but when patients need the blood , are they  are billed for it??...If so who is making the money??????
