Looking for people to share a van to Bangkok

Featured Replies

We are 2 people and have scouted a private taxi driver to go from Phuket to Bangkok. We would like to go beginning of next week.

Assuming the roads will be open, we have the permissions etc.

We have the option to board a taxi (in that case we would need only one more person) or a van (we would need 7 more people) to make it cost-effective.

If interested, write me a private message.

The best place to find others would be Facebook.   This group has a lot of information as well as people looking for transport.   It is all in Thai, and when you translate comments they often don't make sense, but better than nothing.   You have to join the group to post comments.

Share a van with unknown people and share Covid too, if any of them have it. Too risky.

Not actually correct, as they did so this morning and until 2 p.m. this afternoon.   The 14 day quarantine requirement is for those returning to their home in Phang Nga, as I believe every other province will require, not transiting through the province.

That said, the waters are still muddy on what has been agreed between Phuket and otber provinces for repatriations.

Agreed. I understood the same as pagallim concerning the quarantine. But also agreed. Too mudy.

risk assessment; global pandemic, share a van with strangers to save a few baht? pay a few baht more rent a car and driver and considerably reduce the chances of infection... spend a bit more rent a vehicle and pretty much assure your safety. what price do you put on your and your loved ones health?

samsensam, absolutely correct. no way I'd be sharing a vehicle with strangers right now. <deleted>, to save a few baht?
