VIDEO: Shocking moment patient falls from ambulance in Bangkok

video screenshpt

This is the moment a helpless patient falls from an ambulance while on its way to hospital in Bangkok.

Dashcam footage captured the shocking incident which took place at Pracha Uthit Road on  Tuesday morning.

The footage shows the patient, who was strapped to a stretcher, fall out of the ambulance as it tries to pull away from traffic.

Incredibly, the patient avoided any further injury and was quicklky aided by passers by and the ambulance driver.

The footage was shared by Channel 3’s Morning News program.

Reminds me of the carry on films, that happened in a film, but it was a comedy film. That in the video was almost a tragedy, luckily the patient wasnt struck by a vehicle.

OMG!

This could had gone terrible wrong, had a vehicle tailgated this ambulance, as they often do.

The ambulance driver should be sacked.

After Channel 3 show this video, I assume he was called in to human resources and kicked out.

As Victor Meldrew use to say...."I DON'T BELIEVE IT"    ????????????

It's safer and quicker to make your own way to hospital said the stretcher bound patient ????

cowboys

Holy moly!! Thank goddess wasn’t being tailgated by another motorist (which is standard driving procedure here).

It looks like the wheel brakes were on too????

What a shock to the poor old passenger. He looks like he was strapped in too ! Quick go buy some lottery tickets mate ????????

Just missed locking/closing the ambulance rear door by THAT much!!!!

Lucky the driver wasn't taking the patient to the hospital via the expressway....

Unfortunately, Sh*T happens and will always happen. People make mistakes and errors occur,. We have all been guilty.

That will teach them for not using a pickup truck.....????

I shouldn't have laughed. Sorry!

Just glad no-one got injured.

How stupid and moronic can you possibly get.  It's like Fred Karno's Army here, or watching a Buster Keaton special.

you couldn't make this stuff up if you tried ....

Only in Thailand! or is it?

The claim that the patient received no further injury is probably based upon the stretcher not being hit by another vehicle.

Not quite so funny if what stopped the forward movement of the stretcher was the patients unprotected head contacting the rear bumper/fender of the ambulance.

Look on the bright side.  At least he was close to some medical attention! ????

Years  of training, endless safety  courses, strict guidelines, rigorous enforcement, yep,  none of those exists in Thailand, he'll be out tomorrow  body snatching as usual!

As a Canadian, that's an insult to cowboys who drive cattle. These incompetents couldn't drive a wheelchair..

You think they have alcohol in the ambulance?

Got a huge laugh from me. Too funny as this just reminded me - as on channel 3 today had Bad Boys 2 where they are chasing the van hearse and cadavers are flying out. Perfect ejection from the Thai ambulance. I give it a 10!

There appears to have been just the patient and the driver in this ambulance.   Was there no attendant in the back with the patient ?   And it may not have been the driver's responsibility to shut and secure the door.

Safety first! ????
