Agreed.  Couple of facts for doubters.

1 My wife was threatened to the tune of 15K by a Sattahip cop or my retirement visa would be 'difficult' next year and my passport 'confiscated.'

2 My wife's sister (a nurse) had her car stolen.  The thief was arrested (by citizens) & taken to Dong Tan thief station Jomtien.  Fat officer refused to proceed without 10K payment.  I was in the room.

Well proven from past surveys etc., it's the main reason why some folks join the RTP.

Plus many times in the past scams have been uncovered in the police entrance test, the scams all operated by police.

The six cops are still on duty? Do the (potential) tourists know about this?
