Thai PBS went to a mall in Lad Prao - that they did not name - where a survey was being carried out to determine the effectiveness of measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

The mall was only open for food buying and home delivery but there were plenty of people milling about before opening time.

Only four entrances were being used and food delivery personnel were limited to one that was causing difficulties.

Security guards were ensuring that social distancing measures were being accomplished on escalators.

The media said that people were concerned about the mall when it is expected to open for full service next Sunday in what is being called "Phase 2" of the pandemic - the partial and controlled release from lockdown.
