Can't enter Thailand if have antibodies for COVID-19?

Featured Replies

Is that true... Or is it if acutely sick?

i seriously doubt that would be the case.

but we dont know anything right now, wait for announcements.

all we know is flight resumption june 1.

OP I think your have been reading some fake news about antibody tests.  Thailand has not said anything about that being a reason for denial of entry.

That has certainly been stated yet. That is only the day after the current CAAT notice ends.

true, all we can do is wait and hope for june 1

You can:' enter at all now.

No one knows what the rules will be when travel band start to ease but under no scenario can I imagine being banned for having antibodies

I don't see having antibodies as being a problem...you are less likely to be a threat than others...

If you are currently infected with Covid 19 then you would most likely not be allowed to enter any country not your own.

If you test positive for Antibodies then that would not be a reason to exclude you from anywhere, would even suggest that you are somewhat protected from being infected in the future.

Austria just started accepting international visitors again. You have 3 options on arrival. Option 1 - Show medical certificate  negative for covid not older than 4 days. Option 2 - Self quarantine for 14 days. Option 3 - get a covid test on the spot for $200, results in about 3 hours - if all good get a certificate issued and no need to self quarantine.

The Austrian examples seems like a reasonable way until there is a treatment or Vaccine. Would not be surprised if most countries implement something like this in June / July when travel starts to open up a bit.

You would think that having the antibodies would be the best case scenario. I would like to have a piece paper saying I had them.

Like everyone one else desperate to travel, you will have to wait and see OP, no one has a crystal ball

If you look at the Thai Aw website (https://www.thaiairways.com/en_TH/book/timetable.page?) you will note that the first bookable domestic flights are now on July 1st (not June 1st as originally announced in various newspapers) and there is a pop-up saying that 'Due to the Covid-19 crisis, THAI has temporarily suspended its operations until 30th June 2020'.

Other airlines are flying domestic flights to 14 airports now (Nok Air, Air Asia, Lion Air and VietJet).
