UK COVID-19 death toll topped 38,000 as of early May: official data

Featured Replies

seeing the scenes on your 'tube' today hopefully provides lessons for others. The resultant number of deaths  3 -4 weeks from now will provide good research for the rest of the world to learn from. The Americans are also providing lessons to the world on how to increase death rates in their fumbling of this pandemic..

'Conspiracy sites' seems to be yet another Richard Fairbrass (you know what I mean by that, lol) but at 2am I'm done for today.

Goodnight 49, I so enjoy stirring you up ????

We all know you consider yourself to be our superior in both intellect and wit; but as ever all you do is prove otherwise.

Instead of petty insults even a child would be too ashamed to use, why not actually answer the questions put to you?

Simple; you can't.

Who do you suspect is playing games with the figures?

Always the security forces.

This is getting more and more ridiculous.

Why would the security forces play such games?

Is the government complicit in this, and if so; why?

I'm maintaining listening watch 49. You can enjoy your sky clapping this evening, followed by spot-the-plant on BBCQT. I'll give the latter a miss, knowing full well that by Saturday their cover (as lefty plants) will have once again been blown; something that seems to be happening every week, notably the recent Panorama PPE Saga, and lets not forget John Sweeney Springing his own bear trap and getting himself sacked ????

What was the issue with the panorama episode? It is hardly news that private individuals have political perspectives, but all I have seen are attacks on the people featured. Surely, if these people were lying, those lies would be easy to expose? Creating a noise about the source of the whistleblowing rather than actually dealing with the revelations smells very fishy.

Your first link leads to a Times article which is behind a pay wall, so I haven't read it. Have you? Somehow I doubt it, otherwise you'd know that only the first three paragraphs are visible to non subscribers. I wonder what the rest of it says.

Here's a couple of comments on that particular Panorama episode which can be read in full.

Desperate to discredit Panorama on Tory PPE scandal, Tory site Guido points out most NHS staff are not fans of Tories
"The facts of the programme are incontrovertible.

So instead of the facts, Fawkes thought it would be a good idea to highlight five Labour supporters interviewed by the BBC"

Ok, The SKWAWKBOX is owned and run by Steve Walker, a Labour Party member. So is anti Tory.

Revealed: How government 'counted single gloves rather than pairs to boast of one billion items of PPE for NHS' - as another minister has shambolic round of interviews and plane carrying vital medical equipment lands in UK

"Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan called the PPE scandal unveiled by Panorama a 'national disgrace' and accused Safeguarding minister Victoria Atkins of laughing when he was interviewing her........

Also today, Matt Hancock was confronted this morning by the son of a doctor who had warned the government about a lack of PPE for NHS staff before he died of coronavirus"

Do your consider the Mail and Piers Morgan to be anti Tory? You'd be alone in that if you do!

As for your second link, any video which starts with the convicted criminal (8 convictions at the last count) and proven liar Yaxley-Lennon waving a sign accusing anyone, BBC or other, of spreading fake news cannot be taken seriously by any objective person. Remember, Yaxley-Lennon was amongst those who provided false evidence that Muslims were breaking the lockdown and attending mosques. Coronavirus: ‘Dangerous’ conspiracy theories could spark wave of Islamophobic attacks when lockdown lifts, report warns

"Katie Hopkins, Tommy Robinson and former Ukip leader Gerard Batten have been among those sharing posts targeting Muslims in connection with the pandemic.

An old video shared by Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, claimed to show worshippers leaving a mosque in Birmingham during the lockdown.

The footage sparked a deluge of complaints to West Midlands Police, which was forced to investigate the false reports."

BTW, Sweeney wasn't sacked; he resigned. Although he did say that one of the reasons for his so doing was what he called the BBC's cowardice in not broadcasting the Yaxley-Lennon programme.

"I have complained to Ofcom because I believe it was in the public interest to broadcast our Panorama, and it was cowardly of BBC management to allow themselves to be intimidated by such a figure as Tommy Robinson.”(Source)

Yet again, you have been proven wrong; just like your earlier false claim that the MSM in the UK had ignored the yellow jacket protests in France.

Instead of posting yet more easily discredited rubbish, why don't you answer the questions you have been asked?

So you think the conservative government led by Johnson is manipulating the figures using the UK's security forces?
