I don't think any muay thai fighter with the exception of the heaviest weight class would have a chance. They have never been hit from someone like Tyson, no matter his age. No matter how quick you might be, if you don't have the power behind your punches and can't take a hit from someone strong, you're going to lose.

I have trained Aikido and Karate. Every decent teacher told me asian Martial Arts is for self defense only. The first lesson is run away. Then they teach you how to fall. The self styled tough guys know nothing. Even Krav Maga, hard style Karate teaches EVADE

 

Perhaps you can post some of your expertise without personal attacks that would be nice.

I guess I have been overruled on this thread here but just one more thing.

When you sparred with a Thai ex champion did he give you the full force of his kicks or just just mess around and toy with you? I'd say it would be different with a young Thai guy in his prime with big money on the line to kick the foreigners head off!

The only reason I'd ever want this fight to go ahead is to hear that "Old Ear-biter" got badly humiliated. I wouldn't support a fight of his by actually watching it.

 

Tyson should have been cast to the Cellar of Shame immediately after biting part of Holyfield's ear off -- then going for the other one after the IDIOT ref lets the bout continue!!! It should have been stopped, the police brought in and assault charges brought against the a**hole. Then Tyson should have been banned from having anything so with boxing (and maybe humanity) for the rest of his life.

Muay Thai punching against a pro boxer is not comparably in any way, shape or form IMO.

No Real venue....for certain reasons, Thailand lacks the one thing needed---a casino, its no coincidence That most big fights are fought in the Vegas casinos.  The promoter usually gets the venue for free (or greatly reduced) they fill up the rooms before--they fill up the tables after.
