Many Thai children have found themselves unable to begin their new school term, as they have no smartphone or internet to access the online classes.

The problem has become a hot topic among netizens after cases emerged in Nakhon Ratchasima province of children prevented from joining online classes.

Samran, 54, said that her grandsons are studying in Prathom 2 and Prathom 6, but their family is so poor that they cannot use the internet.

Meanwhile, Pat, 60, said that her four grandchildren are studying in Prathom 1, 4, 6 and Mathayom 1 but also had no way of starting their semester. She said that since the Covid-19 outbreak and lockdown, her family has barely had enough money for daily necessities.

Course It doesn't matter, the people in charge realised long ago that the serf's don't need an education as they might start to question their place in the grand scheme of things....

servitude=good

education=bad

Why concern? Just open the bloody schools. Wasn't it July 1st? Why all of a sudden became a concern about online teaching? Just stick to the plan and everything will be alright.

have hi speed internet here in rangsit - and the wife tells me that the online teaching website is so slow it doesn't load - looks like way overloaded with too many people trying to access it and the online classes are just swamped with students trying to get the online website to work

Prayut doesnt give a <deleted> about Thai people. He is not clever enough. And too self absorbed. The most amazing thing thing is how people like him can get into power without being stopped. He was allowed to get too high in the Army. They should have pushed him down earlier when they saw what a moron he was.

Temp solution

They have plenty of teachers who love to teach on TV

Could have a differnet channel for each year group every morning.

While most dont have hi speed net , almost all have TV

These need not be h budget studio stuff.

The BBC Open Uni or Ted Talk , basically a talking Head which could be recorded via Skype, Homework questionaires, puzzles even prizes etc, this is not rocket science and used in outtback areas worldwide.
