You are right. I'm a tourist and I have been stuck here since beginning of March with flights cancelled. I'm surviving and not in a hurry to leave. I rent a house for the year it gets paid for whether i'm here or not. I'm helping the Thai economy a lot spending no more than 1000 Baht a week on food. The government has even given me 3 months free Visa extension saving me £145.50 to encourage me.
