Travel Phuket - Chiang Mai. Possible?

Featured Replies

I was hoping to make a return trip From Phuket to CM in the next few days but can’t seem to find any bus availability online which I suppose are either full, not updated or not running.

Does anyone know if busses / coaches are running or could offer any Alternative Suggestions  opadvice as to this trip?

many thanks in advance

If the trains are still suspended, you may have to look for multiple segments.  Phuket to Bangkok and then Bangkok to CM.

Quite sure there will be no direct bus Phuket to CM.

But from the news:

buses to/from Bangkok since yesterday (June 9).

50% limited capacity. 11 buses per day.

From Bangkok to CM there are flights.

I don't know about buses to CM.

Just that inter-provincial buses in general are running since a while.

I would expect that you have to do an overnight in Bangkok.

"Quite sure there will be no direct bus Phuket to CM."

Incorrect, the Green Bus Company operates direct Chiang Mai to Phuket/Phuket to Chiang Mai

PHUKET - PHANGNGA - KRABI - SURAT THANI - CHUMPHON -
