Covid-19 will cause Thailand’s construction sector to shrink by 3.6% in 2020, the country’s first contraction since 2017, risk and research company Fitch Solutions has predicted.

Thailand’s lockdown began on 26 March. It has twice been extended and is tentatively scheduled to end by 1 July.

Construction has been allowed to continue, but Fitch says Thailand’s curfew has reduced working hours, and the closing of borders has cut off the flow of migrant workers from Myanmar and Cambodia.

-- GLOBAL CONSTRUCTION REVIEW 2020 06-12

Way too much Concrete in this country already so new construction wouldn't be missed.  Not as if there is a shortage of empty Commercial or Domestic Properties is it; the country is overflowing with oversupply of concrete monstrosities of every ugly nature.

Why not get construction workers building decent Floral Roundabouts and doing away with thousands of 'U' Turns, which are accidents waiting to happen.  Getting ghastly overhead Cables underground would also keep workers busy for years to come !

Shrinkage is better than a construction collapse !!

just like 1997 when half finished condos were everywhere ,rusting in the sun
